Raoul Peck returns to the subject of his 1992 documentary with a full-blown biopic about the first post-independence prime minister of Congo, Patrice Lumumba, and the cynical realpolitik of the western powers that led to his brutal assassination in 1960. Eriq Ebouaney is strong in the title role.
